Description:An OB/GYN Locum opportunity is available to provide inpatient call coverage during scheduled coverage gaps.The provider will primarily support labor and delivery services, phone triage, and emergency department OB/GYN call coverage.Coverage includes both in-house and beeper/phone call responsibilities.One provider will be on call at a time.The average callback volume is approximately 15 hours.This role is an inpatient/hospital-based practice.The patient population consists of adult patients, with approximately 85% inpatient and 15% outpatient call coverage.The average daily patient volume is 5 patients.The clinical requirements include specialty experience and comfort in managing labor and delivery patients.The provider should have experience providing phone triage and responding to emergency department OB/GYN calls.The ability to perform DC procedures when clinically indicated is also necessary.This assignment focuses primarily on labor and delivery coverage and after-hours OB/GYN call responsibilities.The provider will serve as the sole on-call physician during scheduled coverage periods.Providers should be comfortable managing inpatient obstetrical care, emergency department consultations, phone triage, and DC procedures as needed.Clean background and license history are preferred.Providers with minimal malpractice settlements will undergo a case-by-case review.
