Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Physician specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology to provide comprehensive OB/GYN care. The role includes obstetric management, gynecologic procedures, and on-call labor and delivery duties in a high-volume setting.

Candidates must hold an active medical license and be board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with experience in high-risk pregnancy management and surgical gynecology. Orientation and ongoing assignments will follow onboarding.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility status in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Ability to manage both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies.
• Proficiency in OB ultrasounds and fetal heart rate interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic patient care across the continuum.
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and fetal assessments.
• Manage cesarean deliveries and complex obstetric cases.
• Supervise residents and participate in on-call labor and delivery coverage.
• Respond to emergencies within established timeframes and protocols.

Description:Dates: Orientation begins on January 28.Orientation hours of 150 and then ongoing assignments will follow.Call type is 24-hour call, all-inclusive.Response time required is within 30 minutes for emergency conditions.Attending must be seen within 12 hours after admission to labor and delivery.Response to emergency department and labor and delivery is required within 10 minutes.Average call volume is 8 per day, totaling 55 per week.Average number of deliveries per year is approximately 450 for the unit.Obstetricians deliver around 370-380 per year.Resident and teaching supervision is required.Completion of a conscious sedation module is required only for those requesting privileges.The facility is primary stroke certified, not a comprehensive stroke center.Assigned and unassigned rounding of patients is involved, with family medicine residency typically taking the unassigned.Patient encounters per shift average 4.3.Facility has a trauma level of 2.Obstetric and gynecological skills preferred include:

• Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management


• Fetal heart rate interpretation


• Performance and interpretation of OB ultrasounds


• Decision-making for cesarean section


• Management of complicated deliveries


• Vaginal delivery with preference for low-forceps


• Management of VBAC cases


• Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations


• Office and minor gynecology procedures including IUD placement, colposcopy, and cryosurgery


• Surgical gynecology procedures with preference for laparoscopic diagnostic/minor and operative/major surgeries.
