Job summary

The WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seeks a non-invasive cardiologist for a faculty position in Uniontown, PA. You will teach medical students, residents, and fellows, participate in clinical research, and provide advanced non-invasive cardiac care.

Depending on needs, duties may extend to WVU Health System sites in neighboring states with travel as required. Candidates must hold an MD or DO, be board-certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease, and pursue imaging certifications in echo,

Qualifications

• Imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI training/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
• Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Provide non-invasive cardiology services and patient care across assigned sites; travel to additional worksites as needed.

The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a non-invasive cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for faculty position in Uniontown, PA.

Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidates will be actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
