Ascension Seton seeks a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a team providing outpatient clinic cardiology and support for a hospital rounding unit. The role includes collaboration with the Dell Medical School rounding team at two hospitals and cross-coverage for two interventional cardiologists to maximize time for interventions.

Licensure in Texas is required, with MD or DO degree essential. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for clinical research and education

Responsabilités

• Provides outpatient general cardiology care with diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinates discharge planning with case management and other care teams.
• Accepts patient referrals; acts as admitting/attending/consulting physician as needed.
• Participates in academic programs (education and research) as requested.
• Documents care to meet insurer requirements and appeals denials timely.
• Involves inpatient/outpatient consultation and on-call duties as needed.

Ascension Seton is looking for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our incredible team of cardiologists caring for our community.

Position Highlights

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Outpatient clinic general cardiology
• Call responsibility and support for the Dell Medical School rounding team at 2 hospitals.
• Position will provide additional general cardiology support for 2 interventional cardiologists, allowing them more time for interventions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
