Job description

As a Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician at Corewell Health West, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, manage acute and chronic medical conditions, and contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.

Essential Functions :
  1. The nocturnist primary role is overnight admissions.
  2. The Nocturnists work shifts at both Butterworth and Blodgett Hospitals.
  3. The Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) cover the floor calls.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality, and efficiency.
  5. Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, and case reviews.
  6. Mentor medical residents and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  7. Excellent schedule of 155 shifts per year.

Qualifications
  1. Required Bachelor's Degree
  2. LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  3. LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  4. CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  5. CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
  6. CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required Or
  7. CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
