We serve a diverse patient population with complex medical and social needs and are committed to advancing health equity and ensuring access to exceptional care for everyone.Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Nocturnist Physician to join the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine.Position ResponsibilitiesTriage and evaluate patients referred for admission to the medicine servicesAssign admissions to resident teams based on patient needs and service capacitySupervise and staff resident admissions, providing clinical guidance and bedside teachingIndependently admit and manage patients when appropriateRespond to rapid response calls and code blue eventsCollaborate with Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, consulting services, nursing, and other members of the care teamSupport safe overnight care and effective handoffs to daytime teamsA 1.0 FTE nocturnist works approximately 117 overnight shifts annually, averaging 9-10 shifts per month.
