Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Neurologist for coverage in a 13‑month assignment. The role operates in a 24‑hour clinic with 8‑hour shifts and outpatient blocks, and may require onsite hospital coverage when not providing outpatient care.

The candidate should be board certified with an active license, DEA, and immunization clearances; BLS/ACLS preferred. Cerner EMR is used for patient records and handling a 6–8 patient daily load.

Responsibilities

• Neurologist coverage for the clinic; outpatient care and hospital coverage as needed.
• Weekend call from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
• Outpatient hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 1:00 PM–3:00 PM.
• Provide onsite hospital coverage if no outpatients are scheduled.
• Expected patient load: 6–8 patients per day.
• EMR system used: Cerner.
• Procedures include radiologic interpretation, LP, EEG, brain death exams, evoked potentials.
• Immunizations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella, flu, COVID documentation, TB, TDAP.

Description:We are looking for a Neurologist for coverage.The clinic regular hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Weekend call is from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM.Outpatient clinic hours during the shift are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.If there are no outpatients scheduled or if not for the entire time, the candidate will be expected to provide onsite hospital coverage.The expected patient load is 6-8 patients per day.The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.Procedures required include radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar puncture (spinal tap), EEG, brain death examination, and evoked potentials.Immunization records will be required for clearance from occupational health.Required immunizations include Hep B, MMR, Varicella, flu for the current season, COVID documentation, TB within 12 months, and TDAP within the last 10 years.
