Job summary

77 consultants is seeking a Neurologist to provide inpatient and outpatient EEG interpretations in Michigan. The role includes 24/7 on-call coverage on weekends, after-hours duties, and continuous inpatient support with morning relief.

The clinic runs 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; when there are no outpatients, you will provide uninterrupted hospital coverage. Local candidates with Michigan license and active DEA registration are required.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Neurology; board-eligible candidates not accepted.
• Active Michigan medical license required at credential verification.
• Active DEA registration required; local candidates only; no travel funded.
• Certifications and credentialing to be verified per policy.

Responsibilities

• EEG interpretations for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed.
• Inpatient call coverage; 24/7 responsibilities with morning reset.
• Provide ongoing on-site hospital coverage when outpatient load is light.
• Assure patient care with 6-8 patients per day on average.

Shift Overview

The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with responsibilities extending into after-hours coverage. Inpatient call is continuous and requires coverage 24/7, concluding the following morning at 8:00 AM.

Responsibilities include EEG interpretations for both inpatient and outpatient cases as necessary.

Weekend Requirements

Mandatory 24-hour call coverage is required on weekends.

On-Call Requirements

Inpatient and after-hours call obligations are part of the role.

Outpatient Clinic Hours during Shift

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (these appointments fall within the 8-hour on-site shift). In times with no scheduled outpatients, the candidate must provide continuous onsite hospital coverage. The expected patient load is 6-8 patients per day.

Mandatory Job Requirements

• All qualifications must be documented at the time of credentialing
• Board Certified in Neurology (Board Eligible candidates not accepted)
• Active Michigan state medical license required at time of credential verification
• Local candidates only; no travel arrangements funded
• Active DEA registration required

Certifications

• BLS and ACLS with NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency preferred
• Clean malpractice history details must be provided, including carrier information and coverage limits, confirming inclusion in rate
• Self-query NPDB status (to be completed within the past month)
• Must clearly indicate availability and preferred shift type
