MEDIKO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time, day shift at Athens Clarke County Jail in Athens, GA. The role involves direct patient care, assessments, medication administration, and emergency response within a correctional healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop care plans, and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations while providing education to patients and maintaining infection control standards.

Formación

• Current, valid state RN license.
• 1-3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in correctional settings.
• Strong time-management and adherence to protocols.

Athens-Clarke County Jail

Salary: $38-$48 (experience-based) | Full-Time | Day Shift 6:45P-7:15P

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a correctional setting, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and emergency response. This role will collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans while ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The RN will also educate patients on health conditions, monitor their progress, and contribute to a safe and effective healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• A current, valid state(s) Registered Nurse license
• An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the correctional setting is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
