Broughton Hospital, a state psychiatric hospital serving the Western Region of North Carolina, is recruiting for full-timePhysician Manager (Chief Psychiatrist).Our 24-hour in-patient facility serves adolescent, adult, deaf, and geriatric patients; however, this position focuses on our Geriatric population.

This position will provide clinical and administrative supervision to a minimum of five psychiatrists, as well as be the lead director of our graduate medical education program, address directed audit data, and provide direct patient care.

The Physician Manager in this role will coordinate patient referrals and movement to and from service areas and will be responsible for Joint Commission/Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services standards including Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation/Focused Professional Performance Evaluations (OPPE/FPPE), in addition to Valuing Individual Performance (VIP) employee evaluations.

This position works with a varied group of professional disciplines and may coordinate clinical training and research efforts.

The normal work hours for this position areMonday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. However, flexible work schedules will be considered. On-call coverage is required.
