Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in Joplin, Missouri seeks a dedicated Physician to provide a wide range of clinical services in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Flexible full-time and part-time options with a collaborative team and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions.
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations.
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care.
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.
