Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated Physician to join our team in the Joplin area.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2–5 years post-residency clinical experience; at least 18 months in urgent care or emergency.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures (suturing/splinting) and reading EKGs/X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of clinical services for acute conditions.
• Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and prescribe medications.
• Perform minor procedures and vaccinations.
• Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
• Supervise and collaborate with PA/NPs, including remote supervision.
• Work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced setting.

Your role
