Job description

Overview: The position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Internal Medicine Service, Fort Bliss, TX.

Fort Bliss is a U.S. Army post serving forces in New Mexico and Texas. William Beaumont Army Medical Center provides comprehensive medical care for military personnel and families. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary care physician for adult patients with acute and chronic internal medicine conditions.
  • Manage complex medical problems such as congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertension, peptic ulcer disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, and arthritic conditions.
  • Conduct patient examinations, take histories, perform physical exams, order laboratory tests, prescribe treatments, and refer to specialty care as needed.
  • Complete required records (paper and electronic) for all medical services in accordance with procedures and regulations.
  • Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide technical oversight of clinical staff (nurses, social workers, therapists, technicians).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a physician from a U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
  • Completed at least one year of supervised clinical experience (internship or residency).
  • Successful completion of accredited residency in Internal Medicine (minimum 4 years).

Additional Requirements

  • Eligible U.S. citizen.
  • Familiarity with military medical environments is preferred.

Salary Range

  • Tier 1: $123,007 – $300,000
  • Tier 2: $145,000 – $320,000
  • Tier 3: $165,000 – $336,000
