Job summary

Summit Oaks Hospital is seeking a physician to lead and coordinate psychiatric care for both inpatient and outpatient units. Working with the Medical Director and Medical Staff, you will help plan, implement and evaluate the quality of care across services.

Board-certified psychiatrists or those board-eligible, licensed in New Jersey, are preferred. Strong communication skills and collaboration with a large national nurse and physician network are important for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry.
• Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey; board certified in psychiatry or board eligible.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate quality of care for outpatient and inpatient units.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Medical Staff to assure quality of care.
• Engage in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Position Summary

The Physician is responsible, in conjunction with the Medical Director for planning, implementation and evaluation the quality of care provided for the outpatient and inpatient units patients. Additionally, the Physician works with the Medical Staff who admits patients to the hospital to assure quality of care.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited medical school; completed residency in psychiatry, Board Certification.

Experience

Experienced in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, well developed skills in integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment milieu and good working relationships with other attending physicians and staff.

Licensure

Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey, Board Certified in Psychiatry or Board Eligible possessing the knowledge and skill comparable to an individual with Board Certification.
