Job summary

Summit Oaks Hospital in Summit, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our behavioral health team. This 36-hour week schedule (7am–7pm, 3 days) offers a generous sign-on bonus of $15,000 and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities include assessing medical needs, safety checks, medication administration, and documenting patient status under physician guidance, aligned with Summit Oaks' mission and values.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
• One year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two years of medical/surgical experience with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
• NLN accredited programme preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under the guidance of the physicians.
• Conduct safety checks and implement appropriate behavioural management techniques.
• Monitor, report, and document patient behaviours and overall well being.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as needed under the guidance of treatment team.

This is a Full Time position from 7am - 7pm, 3 days a week, 36 hours a week. There is opportunity to cover various shifts and pick up overtime if interested. This position qualifies for a $15,000 Sign on Bonus.
