The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, a Class 1A VA Medical Center and a teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University, is seeking an outstanding full-time (8/8ths) candidate for the position of Director of the Primary Care Clinic, a large comprehensive ambulatory setting serving the needs of Veterans. The Primary Care Clinic has the distinction of being a Center of Excellence in Primary Care Education (one of 5 sites in the nation). Responsibilities will include overseeing and enhancing the performance of the Primary Care Clinic as well as leading the educational mission in resident, medical student and nursing practitioner education. The incumbent will administrate over 14-15 MDs/NPs (including clinic scheduling, resident curriculum implementation and conflict resolution). He/she will conduct routine meetings with clinic leadership including nursing, Patient Care Administrative Services (PCAS) and residency leadership. He/she will be responsible for directing patient care in the ambulatory continuity clinic setting. The successful candidate will be expected to qualify for appointment as an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University.
