Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a physician to assess and manage patients’ physical health in correctional or clinical settings. The role includes exams, coordinating referrals, and clinical oversight of ARNPs, with after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications include an MD/DO, 2+ years of post-residency experience, and state licensure. DEA registration and board eligibility are required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited university.
• Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting.
• Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine; licensed in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-ups.
• Offer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation review.
• Perform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar puncture.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families.
