Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a Physician to assess and treat patients’ physical health in correctional or clinical settings. The role includes physician oversight of ARNPs, documentation, and after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Travel may be required; the position requires MD/DO with state licensure and DEA, with board certification or eligibility in internal or family medicine. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate (MD) or DO from an accredited university.
• Two years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting; psychiatric experience preferred.
• Licensed in the state of employment with current DEA and board certification or eligibility in internal or family medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-ups
• Offer clinical oversight and support to ARNPs, including care provision and documentation review
• Perform minor medical procedures such as sutures, IV placement, and lumbar puncture
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families
