Job summary

A leading health system in West Virginia is looking for an Infectious Diseases/Critical Care Physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. This role involves practicing both adult Infectious Diseases and Critical Care Medicine while providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate must have completed an MD or DO, along with relevant residency and fellowship programs, and is expected to teach and mentor students and residents. This position offers a collaborative environment with a focus on both patient care and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license.
• Completion of relevant fellowships and residency is mandatory.
• Board certification in infectious diseases and critical care is required.

Position Overview

Infectious Diseases/Critical Care Physician – (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The position is based in Morgantown, WV.

Duties

The successful candidate will: Practice adult Infectious Diseases (ID) and Critical Care Medicine with a 50/50 mix. Clinical responsibilities include ID inpatient and outpatient services, and critical care medicine. The physician will provide excellent patient care, teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and participate in scholarly activities.

• Areas of focus: health care epidemiology, musculoskeletal infections, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B/C, antimicrobial stewardship, transplant ID, telehealth, OPAT, and COpAT.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent, eligible for state medical license.
• Completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Infectious Diseases Fellowship, and Critical Care Fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible in both infectious diseases and critical care.
• Must meet all qualifications by appointment.
