Job Description
Northwestern Medicine is actively seeking fellowship-trained, BE/BC general Gastroenterologists who are board-certified. The position is primarily inpatient, requiring efficient performance of routine endoscopy and management of gastrointestinal diseases. Responsibilities include performing endoscopy procedures originating from the emergency department and inpatient consult service. The ideal candidate should be competent in basic upper and lower endoscopy, enteral access (PEG placement), and managing GI emergencies such as bleeding, food impactions, and volvulus. The hospitalist will collaborate with 1-2 established interventional endoscopists and other subspecialists within Northwestern Medicine.
