Description

Thompson is affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Center and the largest group of employed physicians in the region. This position is at Thompson Hospital, a Magnet-designated hospital in beautiful Canandaigua, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous medical care for non-assigned patients admitted to the hospitalist service and offer consultations on inpatients at the request of other specialties.
• Establish and maintain good communication and working relationships with hospitalist staff, nursing staff, case management, and other hospital departments.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians. Manage patients in the ICU on the hospitalist service or with intensivist support.
• Provide on-site coverage 24/7 with shifts between 8 to 12 hours. Promote the utilization of all Thompson Health services.

Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Candidates BC/BE in Family Practice will also be considered.
• NYS Licensure and current Registration required.
• DEA Licensure required. Demonstrated ability to manage ICU patients with support from Intensivists.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Medical School (M.D. or D.O.)
• Completion of Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding (preferred)
• Maintain CME as per Board Certification requirements
• Current ACLS certification

Experience

• 1-3 years in Hospitalist Medicine (preferred)
• Experience with process management and outcome measures (preferred)
• Experience working in a team-focused environment (preferred)

Pay Range: $200,000-300,000 Based on Experience
