Job summary

A leading provider of end-of-life care in Ocala, Florida, is looking for a compassionate physician to provide primary medical care to hospice patients. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of palliative medicine, oncology, and symptom management, along with the necessary certifications and licenses. Qualifications

• Must have current license to practice in Florida.
• Must be a member in good standing on the medical staff.
• Experience in end-of-life care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to patients.
• Manage symptoms associated with terminal illness.
• Participate as a member of the hospice care team.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care, with at least a working knowledge of oncology.
• Knowledge of palliative medicine, with particular emphasis on control symptoms associated with terminal illness.
• Registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency to write scheduled prescriptions.
• Medical malpractice and liability insurance in amounts and with carriers satisfactory to VITAS.
