Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is recruiting a BC/BE Hepatologist with transplant experience to join the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. You will care for patients with end-stage liver disease, participate in pre/post-transplant management, and engage in academic teaching, research, and trainee mentorship within a dynamic team.

The role emphasizes collaboration with residents, fellows, and the GI/Hepatology research programs, with opportunities for clinical research

Qualifications

• AZ medical license (or eligible to obtain).
• BC/BE Hepatology required.
• Training in GI and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide transplant-related liver disease care across pre and post-transplant phases.
• Perform and supervise Endoscopy procedures (Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy).
• Contribute to education, research, and multidisciplinary team activities.

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is recruiting BC/BE Hepatologist to join its current academic faculty team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a Hepatologist with training and experience in managing all aspects of liver disease to take the next career step in academic medicine at the assistant or associate level. This role will be providing transplant care to patients with end-stage liver disease, focusing on all phases of pre and post-transplant care in addition to managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. The Hepatologists work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and are directly involved in selection committee, quality assurance initiatives, education and research in this growing program.

The Transplant Hepatology position offers an excellent opportunity to begin and advance your career in academic medicine. Become involved with the education and training of Internal medicine/GI residents, fellows and medical students within an academic setting. Opportunities include: teaching and mentorship of Internal Medicine/Gl trainees, preparing/presenting at Departmental/Divisional meetings, involvement with GI/Hepatology clinical research including presentations at National meetings and opportunities for clinical research training through a Masters in Clinical Research pathway.
