Job summary

City of Hope Chicago (Zion, IL) is expanding its Department of Pathology and seeks a Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist who is Board-Certified to meet growing needs.

The successful candidate will provide diagnostic services for hematologic malignancies and general surgical pathology, join a team of three pathologists and collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of physicians and scientists. A faculty appointment is offered at Zion site.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree and eligibility for IL medical license.
• Board Certification in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.
• Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Hematopathology and Surgical Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic services to support care of patients with hematologic malignancies and general surgical pathology.

City of Hope Chicago (Zion, IL), as part of our expanding focus on Hematologic Malignancies and support of the Stem Cell Transplant Program, is seeking a Hematopathologist/Surgical Pathologist whois highly qualified and Board-Certified to meet the growing needs of our expanding Department of Pathology.

Position Highlights:

• Clinical responsibilities include diagnostic services to support the clinical care of patients with hematological malignancies and general surgical pathology and clinical interpretations.

• Join a team of 3 Pathologists plus a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists.

• The Zion site is home to an established adult hematologic malignancy and stem cell transplant practice with state-of-the-art technology and an experienced team. It is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), is a member of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).

• City of Hope faculty appointment

Qualifications

• Applicants must have an MD or equivalent medical degree and possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Illinois medical license.

• Board Certification in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology is required.

• Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in Hematopathology and Surgical Pathology.
