Job summary

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an Inpatient Hematologist/Oncologist Hospitalist to join the Banner University Medical Center Phoenix team. The position offers a 7 on/7 off schedule and full APP support with inpatient rounding and consult responsibilities during business hours.

Outpatient duties are not required; candidates should have board certification/eligibility in Hematology/Oncology and an interest in inpatient service and potential subspecialization.

Qualifications

• Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
• Interest in inpatient service with subspecialization.
• Open to experienced and new graduates; clinical research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rounding with patients on the inpatient team during business hours.
• Responding to consults and coordinating care with the hospital team.
• Night on-call coverage for calls; overnight consults addressed next day; outpatient duties not required.

Inpatient Hematologist/Oncologist Hospitalist

The Division of Cancer Medicine is actively recruiting a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our inpatient team as an Onco-Hospitalist at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. This candidate will join a national leader in multidisciplinary cancer care, education, and discovery at a thriving academic based campus.

As part of the cancer centers multidisciplinary team, the selected oncologist will enjoy a 7 on / 7 off schedule and a team that includes fully staffed APP support. Physician will be present at the hospital during business hours, rounding with patients and responding to consults as required. Physician would be available nights for calls coming in from the hospital/team but consult requests coming in overnight are addressed early the next day. Outpatient responsibilities are not required.
