Job summary

Barton Associates is seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist for a 120-day assignment in Wisconsin. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

The role includes supervising chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, providing inpatient consultations and rounding, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

Qualifications

Board-certified in hematology/oncology.
Experience in inpatient oncology care.
Proficient with Epic EMR in clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
Develop and oversee treatment plans including chemo, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
Provide inpatient consultations and rounding.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with the care team.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for our client in Wisconsin. This 120-day assignment involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with various solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, developing comprehensive treatment plans, and providing inpatient consultations and rounding, working Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1630.

Responsibilities and Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, multiple myeloma, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, as well as benign hematologic disorders.
Develop and oversee treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, and supervise infusion orders.
Provide inpatient consultations and rounding.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with the broader care team, which includes oncology-certified nurses, palliative care specialists, genetic counselors, dietitians, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, and social workers.
