Job summary

All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to cover both inpatient and outpatient services. The role includes 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts, with emergency night calls only for urgent situations.

You will manage about 20 patients daily, perform new and follow-up visits, and utilize Epic EMR for real-time charting. Responsibilities include entering 80% of orders, supporting virtual visits, and collaborating with oncology pharmacists, RNs, MAs, and APPs onsite.

Qualifications

• Board-certified hematology/oncology physician.
• Wisconsin medical license or license pending.
• Experience with inpatient/outpatient hematology/oncology care.

Responsibilities

• See an average of 20 patients per day with inpatient and outpatient duties.
• Enter orders (80% of tasks) and provide virtual visits as needed.
• New patient visits 45–60 minutes (cancer) and 15–30 minutes (benign hematology); follow-ups 15–30 minutes.
• Maintain timely charting by end of shift and respond to phone calls within 10 minutes; onsite response within 60 minutes.
• Work with onsite staff including oncology pharmacist, RN, MA and APP.

• Clinical Details


• Work Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, In-house Call


• Average inpatient census: 5-10 patients


• Approximately 20 outpatient visits per day, treating adult and geriatric patients


• New patient visits: 45-60 minutes for cancer, 15-30 minutes for benign hematology


• Follow-up visits: 15 or 30 minutes


• EMR: Epic


• Real-time charting/by end of shift, post-shift


• Phone response within 10 minutes and onsite response within 60 minutes


• Walk-ins/Urgent Care


• Onsite Support Staff: Oncology pharmacist available,RN, MA, and APP


• Must enter 80% of orders and be willing to see an average of 20 patients per day


• Must be comfortable with virtual visits


• Productivity Expectations: 65%
