Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a General Surgeon with Breast fellowship in Cooperstown, NY. The practice includes a 180-bed primary hospital with a Level III trauma center and a robust referral network.

Join a large, multi-clinician team and enjoy a no-call breast surgery setup with excellent support and educational opportunities. Compensation ranges from $385,254 to $442,409 with performance-based incentives and a sign-on bonus up to $100,000.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS required.
• BC/BE in General Surgery with Breast Fellowship required.
• New York medical license or eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• DEA required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 15 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians.
• Certified Cancer Treatment Center based in Cooperstown with regional centers.
• 180 bed primary hospital with Level III trauma center.
• Instant referral base provided by over 500 network clinicians.
• Full support staff including PAs with surgical residents and medical students.
• Travel required for regional patient care.
• State-of-the-art ORs including DaVinci Surgical System.
• No general surgery/trauma call requirement; breast surgery coverage shared.
• Salary range $385,254–$442,409 plus performance-based compensation.

• Join an established group of 15 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians

• Certified Cancer Treatment Center based in Cooperstown with multiple regional centers for diagnostic and treatment options

• 180 Bed Primary Hospital with Level III Trauma Center

• Instant Referral Base provided by over 500 Network Clinicians

• General Surgeons share call coverage for Breast Surgery patients

• Salary Range: $385,254-$442,409 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Job Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS

• BC/BE in General Surgery - Breast Fellowship Required

• Completion of an accredited USA General Surgery residency, successful completion of which results in board eligibility

• New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

• BLS certification required

• DEA Required
