Role Overview
We are seeking a contingent physician to provide overnight, non-operative coverage for the General Surgery service, supporting general, HPB, colorectal, thoracic, plastic, and vascular surgery patients. The role includes evaluating new routine and emergent consults, responding to acute changes in patient status, addressing nursing calls, entering orders, and performing select bedside procedures. Shifts are 12-hour overnight shifts (6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) Monday through Friday, both day and night shifts on weekends/holidays, and an option for 24-hour coverage Saturday, Sunday, and holidays; ideally, the physician will be available for at least four shifts per month, with additional shifts available.
