Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Join a team of six physicians and five APPs on the Grand Rapids GI service.
• Provide endoscopy services in an ASC and inpatient unit with MAC anesthesia.
• Maintain a balanced call schedule with coverage every 8 weeks.
• Perform daily outpatient endoscopies; inpatient census with APP support.
• Collaborate with Lacks Cancer Center and Cancer Center Network of West Michigan.
• Engage in resident teaching and mentorship.

Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full time Gastroenterologist to join our Trinity Health Grand Rapids Gastroenterology Team.

Practice Features:

• Join a skilled and welcoming team of six dedicated physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs), with plans for continued growth.
• Be part of an established advanced endoscopy program offering a comprehensive range of techniques in a cutting‑edge setting.

• Work in a collaborative and supportive environment that values professionalism, confidence, and teamwork.
• Practice in modern facilities equipped with Olympus 190 scopes, Epic for inpatient and clinic visits, and Provation for all procedure documentation.
• Experience a highly manageable call schedule, with coverage anticipated every 8th week.
• Typical daily endoscopy schedule includes 14 outpatient procedures, while inpatient census often averages fewer than 10 patientswith APP support for inpatient consultsproviding a truly balanced and sustainable workload.
• Serve as a referral center for Trinity Health West Michigan, providing specialized care across the region.
• Collaborate closely with the Lacks Cancer Center and the Cancer Center Network of West Michigan, with strong support from surgical oncology, medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and interventional radiology.
• Engage in educational opportunities through resident teaching and mentorship, contributing to the development of future clinicians.
