Job summary

Barton Associates seeks an Advanced Gastroenterologist with ERCP/EUS expertise for an 84-day Missouri assignment. Inpatient GI coverage on a 14-days-on/14-days-off rotation, 7a-7p shifts, and out-of-house call. Potential outpatient clinic work is possible.

The role emphasizes comprehensive GI procedures including upper/lower endoscopies, ERCP, EUS, and PEG placements, with a team of 9 physicians and 3 APPs.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologist with ERCP/EUS expertise.
• Inpatient GI coverage experience preferred.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required.
• Willingness to work 14-on/14-off schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsies and therapeutic maneuvers.
• Conduct ERCP procedures and Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
• Perform PEG (gastostomy) placements.
• Perform lower GI endoscopy, including colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy.
• Manage esophageal procedures including dilatation and manometry.
• Obtain biopsies of small bowel and liver.

Job description

We are seeking an Advanced Gastroenterologist with EUS/ERCP expertise for an 84-day assignment in Missouri. The role primarily involves inpatient GI coverage on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off rotation, with 7a-7p shifts and out-of-house call. There is potential for outpatient clinic work. This position focuses on comprehensive gastrointestinal procedures, including upper and lower GI endoscopies, ERCP, EUS, and PEG placements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform upper GI endoscopy, including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeders (cautery/laser), injection, and banding of varices
• Conduct ERCP procedures
• Execute Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) placements
• Conduct lower GI endoscopy, including colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy; flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Manage esophageal procedures, including dilatation, manometry, and manometry interpretation
• Perform biopsies of the small bowel and liver
