CompHealth is seeking an IBD-focused gastroenterologist in New Orleans, LA. Join a collegial group and provide expert gastroenterology care in a dedicated IBD clinic with strong support staff.

This role offers a balanced schedule (Monday–Friday), collaboration with GI subspecialists, optional research and teaching through an academic affiliation, and assistance with salary negotiation, licensing, and interview coordination.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologists with IBD focus are preferred.
• Strong collaboration with GI-subspecialists and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide IBD-focused gastroenterology care with no general GI duties.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgery, GI pathology, and GI radiology.
• Participate in optional clinical research and teaching with academic affiliation.
• Leverage dedicated clinic team (nurses, MAs, dietician, clinical pharmacist).
• Share call group roughly 4–5 weeks per year.

• Monday - Friday schedule, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm or 8 am - 5 pm
• IBD-focused practice with no general GI responsibilities
• Join 2 other IBD-dedicated physicians within a collegial group of 16 physicians
• Dedicated IBD clinic team including nurses, MAs, dietician, and clinical pharmacist
• Support from colorectal surgery, GI pathology, and GI radiology
• Shared call group averaging 4 - 5 weeks per year
• Optional clinical research and teaching opportunities with academic affiliation
• Board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist; IBD fellowship training preferred
