• Participate in on-site daytime shifts (8x5) with call planning as needed.
• Contribute to patient management and coordinate with hospital team.

Description:This position is for advanced gastrointestinal coverage.The desired coverage model is for scheduled 8-hour weekday shifts.Procedures will primarily involve inpatient and outpatient care.Locum coverage typically does not include clinic responsibilities.Any call schedule is to be determined prior to confirmation of shifts.The most likely scenario will involve backup or second call for weekends.Coverage need is initially for a specified timeframe, including two days of inquiry.Open to considering part of these dates.Additional future dates may become available for vacation coverage.Flexible schedules may be considered.Patient encounters per shift will vary based on demand.Essential skills include upper and lower GI endoscopy, including biopsy and polyp excision.Experience with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and liver biopsy is preferred.Diverse procedure-related skills such as esophageal dilatation and small bowel biopsy are required.
