Job Overview

Gastroenterology position at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. This role offers the opportunity to impact patient lives in a community that ranks among West Virginia’s top-tier towns for quality of life.

Location

Bridgeport, WV – a vibrant community located less than two hours south of Pittsburgh, PA, with strong industry ties including government, energy, aerospace, and health care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients with digestive disorders, including liver disease, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, cancers, and other gastrointestinal conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Provide consultative services with hospitalists and manage inpatient and clinic schedules.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent with eligibility to obtain a West Virginia state medical license.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with all credentials verified at the time of appointment.
