Job summary

Odyssey Locums is offering a gastroenterology locum tenens assignment in Bellingham, WA. The role features 6 months of Day shift coverage (07:00–15:00) with 24-hour on-call duties and 253-bed facility support. Credentialing is expected within 90 days, with Epic as the charting system and ERCP as part of the cases.

Compensation is premium hourly pay with paid housing and travel, plus tail coverage and referral bonuses for high-performing assignments.

Qualifications

• Gastroenterology experience and procedures.
• ERCP experience or capability.
• Availability for on-call hospitalist shifts.
• Experience with GI rounding and inpatient/outpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform GI procedures including ERCP.
• Rounding and consults for GI patients.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient GI care with the GI team.

The Role:

• Location: Bellingham, WA 98225-1851
• Assignment duration: 6 months (1/4/2027 - 7/5/2027)
• Shift Type: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)
• In House Call: Yes - 24-hour call/hospitalist shifts for weekday and weekend (Rounding, consults, inpatient/outpatient GI procedures)
• Cases: Gastroenterology procedures; ERCP required
• OT: 1.25% after 40 total hours in 1 week.
• Site Charting System: Epic
• Will provider work solo?: No, other GI MD are part of the practice
