Description:Client seeks a physician specializing in Gastroenterology for a locum assignment.The physician will deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.This role includes a requirement for 24-hour call coverage during weekdays and weekends.Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, and performing GI procedures.Expected patient demographics are adults aged 18 and older.The daily average includes 16 clinic patients and 14-16 patients at an outpatient endoscopy center.The hospital census varies.Required procedures include all gastroenterology procedures with a focus on ERCP.Candidates must provide documentation of performing gastroenterology services reflective of the privileges requested.For ERCP, at least 50 successful procedures in the past 2 years are mandatory.If a physician lacks this maintenance criteria, they must be proctored by another physician with current privileges.The position does not require the physician to work solo; other GI specialists will be engaged in the practice.Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC and Provation GI software, is preferred.The position does not require a COVID-19 vaccine, but the flu vaccine status is currently unknown.Selected candidates must comply with all credentialing requirements necessary for privileges.
