Job summary

Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 90-day assignment in Oregon, starting Feb 1, 2027. The physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including EGD, capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS, with duties spanning multiple hospital settings.

The role requires board certification in Gastroenterology and proficiency with Epic for EMR. Travel-related expenses are covered, and a dedicated recruiter will assist with future travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologist with expertise in comprehensive endoscopic services.
• Experience with ERCP and EUS is preferred.
• Comfort with inpatient and outpatient GI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including EGD, colonoscopy and endoscopic procedures.
• Conduct advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS with interventions.
• Provide PEG placement and outpatient replacements as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 90-day assignment in Oregon, starting Feb 1, 2027. The successful physician will work standard 5-day, 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, providing comprehensive gastroenterology services including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies, colonoscopies, ERCP, and EUS procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform general procedures including Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), Capsule Endoscopy - ordering and reading/interpreting results, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Esophageal manometry - ordering and reading/interpreting results.
• Conduct therapeutic procedures such as Polypectomy, Biopsy, Endoscopic hemostasis, Stricture dilation, Foreign body removal, and Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC).
• Execute hospital and advanced procedures including Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) - placement and outpatient replacement, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) - sampling, stent placement, stone extraction, and dilation, Chol angioscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) - with interventions, and Bravo pH studies.
