Job summary

Barton Associates seeks a dedicated Gastroenterologist for a 182-day locum tenens assignment in Indiana. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on advanced GI procedures such as upper GI endoscopies, ERCPs, and PEG insertions to support a comprehensive patient care environment.

Responsibilities include performing upper GI endoscopy with biopsy or removal, ERCP, and PEG procedures, with EMR using Epic.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Gastroenterology.
• Experience performing upper GI endoscopy and ERCP.
• Familiar with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy.
• Execute Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal.
• Conduct Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser).
• Perform Upper GI endoscopy with injection of varices.
• Conduct ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), both diagnostic and therapeutic.
• Perform PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures.
