Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Decatur GI team seeks a Gastroenterologist to deliver high‑quality care in a demanding but rewarding environment. The role includes clinic responsibilities on a Monday–Friday schedule, with an option for a four‑day week and monthly inpatient rounds when on call.

Qualifications

• License to practice medicine in Illinois
• Ability to obtain DEA registration
• Experience delivering healthcare to adolescents, adults and geriatrics

Responsibilities

Position Details

Position Requirements

• Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• M.D., D.O., or MBBS

Pay Range: $700,000

Education Qualifications

• Clinical doctorate is required.

Experience Qualifications

• Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
• Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
• Must be board certified or board eligible.
