This 12-day assignment starts on 06/09/2025, and requires coverage from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. The physician will serve as a collaborator, visiting the clinic once a month to provide supervision to PAs caring for a college population. Responsibilities include managing sick visits, injuries, headaches, nausea, women's health issues (including Pap smears, STI testing, and Nexplanon), mental health concerns, and transgender care (hormone treatment). The ideal candidate should be comfortable with overall supervision of care and wellness for a diverse student population. There is potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide supervision to PAs caring for a college population
• Manage sick visits, injuries, and common ailments such as headaches and nausea
• Perform women's health services, including Pap smears, STI testing, and Nexplanon insertions
• Address mental health concerns and provide appropriate care or referrals
• Offer transgender care, including hormone treatment
• Oversee overall care and wellness programs for the student population
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Medicat system
• Adhere to all relevant medical protocols and guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina
• Experience working with college-aged patients preferred
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Medicat, is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment required
