+ Specialty: Physician-Endocrinology

+ Schedule: Flexible Schedule with 36 direct patient care hours per week (four 9.5 hour days or four 10 hour days); Clinic hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

+ Call Schedule: Minimal Call from Lab in Urgent situations.

+ Practice Detail: Very busy practice in the Fox Valley focusing on diabetes management and general endocrine care.

+ EMR System: Epic

+ Facility: St Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton

+ Location: Midway Clinic, Menasha WI

Responsibilities

Ascension-Wisconsin is seeking a highly motivated and energetic, Board Certified/Board Eligible fulltime Endocrinologist to join our very busy practice in our Midway Clinic in the Fox Valley.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension-Wisconsin to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

+ Flexible Schedule - Can work four 9.5 hour days or four 10 hour days with one full day off per week and NO weekends.

+ Open to NEW or Practicing Physicians (J1/H1B eligible to apply).

+ We have a stable and growing Primary Care base that presents a great deal of referrals.

+ Join a well-established, collegial team with one Physician, one APC, two Diabetic Educators, and a support staff: MA/LPN. RN perform blood glucose meter monitoring.

+ Outreach expectations to local clinics nearby are a possibility.

Responsibilities:

+ Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

+ Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

+ Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

+ Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.

+ Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

+ Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure is dependent on state associate works in. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

+ Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office preferred.

Education:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
