Job summary

EGA Associates is seeking a Physician Director to provide clinical leadership and medical oversight at a Primary Care Community Based Outpatient Clinic serving Veterans in Pierre, SD. The clinic delivers outpatient primary care in a setting focused on quality and compliance.

Qualified candidates will have MD/DO with Board certification in Internal or Family Medicine, current SD license, and VA credentialing readiness.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification by an ABMS-recognized board in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinic’s Physician Director and provide medical leadership and oversight for covered clinical services.
• Oversee the quality, appropriateness, and coordination of medical care for assigned patients.
• Support compliance with VA/contract requirements and credentialing standards.
• Provide clinical guidance to the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).
• Collaborate with clinic leadership, VA personnel, and telehealth-based staff.
• Review clinical, quality, access, and performance data with the care team.
• Lead or support continuous improvement of care processes.
• Promote effective care coordination and escalation among the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate with support services including pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
