Job Summary
The Director of Supportive & Palliative Care at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) will lead and develop a multidisciplinary supportive care program designed to enhance the quality of life for patients undergoing oncologic treatments. This role focuses on advanced symptom and pain management, advanced care planning, behavioral health and comprehensive palliative approach to cancer care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Hospice care is managed through a separate program within the health system.
This position provides an opportunity to establish and grow a new clinical program by shaping its strategic vision, offering medical direction, and leading a multidisciplinary team. There is potential for additional autonomy and responsibility as the program evolves.
The Director will oversee program development to ensure alignment with BMDACC's mission of delivering evidence-based, research-driven, multidisciplinary care to patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies and join our rapidly growing and highly regarded faculty. BMDACC is the third partner member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network(r) and the Southeastern United States' patient care hub serving within the Cancer Network's(r) international program to elevate the quality of cancer care nationally and internationally.
