The Director of Supportive & Palliative Care at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) will lead and develop a multidisciplinary supportive care program designed to enhance the quality of life for patients undergoing oncologic treatments. This role focuses on advanced symptom and pain management, advanced care planning, behavioral health, and a comprehensive palliative approach to cancer care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Hospice care is managed through a separate program within the health system.
This position offers an opportunity to establish and grow a new clinical program by shaping its strategic vision, providing medical direction, and leading a multidisciplinary team. There is potential for additional autonomy and responsibility as the program evolves.
The Director will oversee program development to ensure alignment with BMDACC’s mission of delivering evidence-based, research-driven, multidisciplinary care to patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
