Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Job description

Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Dermatologist to join the Department of Dermatology. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Perform medical and surgical dermatologic procedures
  • Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities
  • Serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, and graduate students
  • Mentor and sponsor residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department
  • Participate in department, college, medical center and university committees and service activities
  • Conduct and provide clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings within OSUWMC and regionally/nationally
  • Support clinical and translational research activities and innovation
  • Opportunity to serve as PI or Co‑I in grants and/or clinical trials
Qualifications
  • Board certified/board eligible Dermatologist with demonstrated clinical and/or scholarly achievement
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in dermatology
  • MD or DO with or without other advanced degree (MS, PhD, etc.)
  • Board eligible/Board certified in Dermatology
  • Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
Department/Division Overview

The Department of Dermatology offers comprehensive care serving Ohio and beyond. Faculty provide outpatient dermatologic care with optional inpatient consults. Opportunities exist to focus on general dermatology or pursue interests in specialty and multi-disciplinary clinics. There are opportunities for leadership, education, and research, with two scribes per physician to improve clinic flow and work-life balance.
