Job summary

Real Radiology, LLC, a physician-owned teleradiology company, seeks a Physician Services Credentialing Specialist to ensure physicians maintain active status with state boards, Interstate compact licenses, and client credentialing processes.

This full-time role involves processing initial credentialing applications, renewals, and provider enrollments while coordinating with physicians and cross departmental teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical office credentialing or related field.
• Familiarity with state licensure, hospital privileges, and provider enrollment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process initial credentialing applications for new physicians.
• Gather and verify education, work history, licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and references.
• Assist physicians with state licenses, hospital privileges, and provider enrollments.
• Coordinate fingerprinting requirements for state medical boards.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians and internal departments on credentialing status.
• Identify issues or delays and escalate as needed.
• Manage reappointment applications for all physicians.
• Track credentialing renewal or reappointment dates for compliance.
• Maintain credentialing records, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Act as liaison with medical boards, hospitals, and credentialing bodies for verifications.
• Provide timely updates to internal teams regarding physician status.
• Use multiple methods of communication (phone, email, fax, mail).
• Support inquiries about credentialing procedures for initial, renewals, and reappointments.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and propose best practices.
• Stay current on industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Support the Physician Services department with projects and tasks.
