Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is assisting a Level I trauma hospital in Lansing, Michigan in hiring a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a locums assignment. The role provides weekday onsite coverage with night call and requires independence in performing complex procedures.

Must be able to manage Adult Cardiac and General Thoracic surgeries, CABG, valve repair/replacement, and related thoracic procedures, at a busy trauma center with Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Michigan medical license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS recommended
• Ability to work independently in a Level I trauma setting

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and perform adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery
• CABG, heart valve repair/replacement
• Thoracotomy procedures including lung biopsy/resection and pneumonectomy
• Mediastinal surgery and related cardiothoracic interventions

We are seeking a Board CertifiedCardiothoracic Surgery Physician for a locums opportunity at a Level I trauma hospital in Lansing, Michigan. This is a hospital-based position providing weekday onsite coverage with nighttime call.

Position Highlights

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday–Friday,clinic hours with nighttime call
• Coverage: 3+ weeks permonth preferred
• Weekend Call: None
• Call: Night call only
• Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
• Patient Population: Adult
• Trauma Level: Level I
• OR Availability: 2 dedicatedCardiovascular Surgery ORs during daytime hours
• Average Volume: Approximately 1case per weekend
• EMR: Epic
• Must be able to workindependently
