Job summary

Bristol Health Medical Group in Bristol, CT, seeks a BC/BE non-invasive cardiologist for a part-time role in a well-established practice. The candidate should have expertise in echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitors, TEEs, and DC cardioversion to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role includes inpatient and outpatient cardiac care, rigorous documentation, and participation in hospital programs. Compliance with BHMSG bylaws and schedules is required.

Qualifications

The Bristol Health Medical Group has a part-time opportunity for a BC/BE non-invasive cardiologist to join a collaborative group of reputable Cardiologists in a well-established practice located in a brand new ambulatory care center.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate and mission-focused with excellent clinical skills and expertise in clinical Cardiology, interpreting Echocardiograms, Stress tests, Cardiac Holter/Event monitors, performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) and DC Cardioversions to deliver quality, patient-centered care.

JOB DETAILS:

• Provide Cardiac inpatient and outpatient care consistent with the standard of care for a board certified Non Invasive Cardiologist.
• Prepare and maintain patient medical records on BHMSG and Hospital pre-approved forms consistent with BHMSG, Hospital, Medical Staff and Joint Commission standards. It is expected that medical record documentation be completed within twenty-four (24) hours of the provision of patient care, in accordance with BHMSG’s standards.
• Prepare all reports, claims and correspondence necessary or appropriate in connection with professional services rendered by Physician.
• Obtain consultation with other physicians as appropriate.
• Participate in clinical guideline development, care management programs and quality assurance as directed.
• Provide off hour, holiday, night and weekend coverage for the Practice throughout the year on mutually agreed upon schedule.
• Participate in the Hospital emergency department call coverage as required by the Employer and as may be provided in the Medical Staff bylaws
• Participate and comply with BHMSG and Hospital compliance programs and activities, including participation in any compliance education programs deemed necessary or appropriate by BHMSG or Hospital including but not limited to billing and coding compliance programs.
• Comply with all BHMSG reimbursement requirements including the timely completion of billing slips and accurate coding of services.
• Cooperate and participate in educational programs established by BHMSG and the Hospital from time-to-time relating to Physician’s expertise, and work in the Department of Medicine and elsewhere in the Hospital.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings with other physician members of BHMSG and the Hospital.
• Participate in the development of and comply with the product standardization and cost efficiency policies and initiatives of Employer and those of such related entities as identified by the Employer.
