Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our nationally recognized cardiovascular team. You will provide anesthesia care for a broad spectrum of adult cardiac procedures in a high-acuity environment alongside surgeons, intensivists, residents, fellows, and CRNAs dedicated to patient care, education, and innovation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required.
• ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency completed.
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship completed.

• TEE certification preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

This position offers the opportunity to practice in a high‑acuity, tertiary care environment alongside a collaborative team of anesthesiologists, surgeons, intensivists, residents, fellows, and CRNAs dedicated to exceptional patient care, education, and innovation.

The successful candidate will provide anesthesia care for a broad spectrum of adult cardiac surgical procedures and advanced cardiovascular interventions while contributing to the department’s clinical, educational, and academic missions.

Position Highlights

• Join a premier academic cardiovascular program offering the full continuum of cardiac surgical and interventional care
• Clinical practice includes adult cardiac anesthesia, structural heart procedures, electrophysiology, mechanical circulatory support, ECMO, ventricular assist devices (LVADs), heart transplantation, and lung transplantation
• Opportunity to utilize advanced perioperative echocardiography in a high‑acuity tertiary and quaternary care setting
