Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to review and update bills, process electronic submissions, and resolve claim issues. The role requires CPB certification, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication to coordinate with patients, insurers, and third parties.

The position involves pulling EOBs, handling documentation, and traveling to client sites as needed to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• CPB Certification required or must obtain.
• Experience with billing on multiple payers or subject matter expertise on one payer.
• Strong Excel and typing skills; familiarity with billing software.

Responsibilities

• Review and update failed bills and claims on the host system and within the billing vendor.
• Process daily electronic submissions (277s) and resolve claim issues.
• Monitor daily claim errors and resolutions and recommend system fixes.
• Handle daily late charges and rebills.
• Bill hardcopy claims and attach required documentation.
• Pull EOBs and medical records, attach to claims and mail them.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third parties for information.
• Create training documents and conduct tests and staff training.
